EMERGENCY SERVICES

Elizabeth is our fire and flood recovery caseworker and can be reached at elizabeth.macleod@salvationarmy.ca or by calling 778-484-9790.  If you are in the Westbank/Kelowna area, Elizabeth can meet you in person.  If you are further away, we can arrange a virtual appointment or Elizabeth can possibly come to you.

Some of the supports we offer include:

-funding for counselling (PTSD, trauma, grief – related to the floods and fires)

-grocery support

-clothing and household vouchers for our thrift store

-support connecting with a Red Cross Caseworker

-support navigating and connecting to local supports and resources

-a listening ear to help sift through all you are working through, and a sounding board to help develop a plan

Thank you to the United Way for funding this program!

Our Emergency Disaster Services Team is looking to add volunteers!  If you would like to be part of a dynamic team doing meaningful relief work in our community, please reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Sharon Harder @ 778-484-9917 or email Sharon.harder@salvationarmy.ca

We have a volunteer application package ready for you as well as training courses so that you can be prepared to serve on our team and help neighbours in need who are facing emergencies such as fires or floods.
